I’m a journalist, author and broadcaster.

I’ve worked in national media for more than two decades, across print, radio and television, including several senior editorial roles with national and international media brands.

I am the author of five published non-fiction books, the last two published by Little, Brown. See my books page for more.

I was editor-in-chief of Heat magazine in the noughties and have written extensively for The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times, The Sunday Times and The Independent.

My Big Issue column, Sam Delaney Is At Home, has been running for over ten years.

I’ve presented hundreds of hours of live radio for the BBC, Talksport and other commercial stations. And I’ve hosted and produced documentaries for the BBC, Sky and Channel 4.

In a former life, I was a Parliamentary researcher for Harriet Harman, Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband.

I am currently writing fiction. My first novel, a political thriller set in London, is under submission.
